Zoe grew up calling two of the world’s best chainsaw carvers “Dad” and “Uncle Randy,” but she was out of college before she tried her hand at it.  Zoe travelled and became certified as a Wilderness First Responder and learned cave rescue.  Zoe has won numerous competitions, most notably the invitation-only 2008 Coal Mountain Chevy Fest in Bluefield, West Virginia where she took first place. She has also been a featured artist in the Art of Chainsaw Carving (volume 2) and has competed internationally, which challenges her to continue to try new things and fuels her dislike for the mundane and the repetitive. The chainsaw is both her pencil and her eraser, she is part of a second generation of chainsaw carvers and one to watch for in the future. Her natural ability and creative intuition has influenced artists around the world.
